About Josh Widener

Josh Widener is a Dallas-based illustrator, printmaker and painter.

Josh Widener grew up in Flower Mound, Texas surrounded by a creative environment. His influences include his father, an architect and custom homebuilder; his mother, an interior designer; and his grandmother, an accomplished painter. Josh pursued his passion for art and attended college at Baylor University earning his B.A. in Studio Art, where he fell in love with the process of printmaking, primarily in the art of woodcutting, and painting. After graduation Josh moved back to the Dallas/Fort Worth area where he continues to further his illustration, printmaking and painting career to this day.

When not creating art, you will find Josh raising a family with his beautiful wife Kelly where they enjoy spending time with their three children, Everett, Emery and Piper, along with their two pets, a Bernese Mountain dog named Winston and a snooty cat named Scout.  Josh’s biggest inspiration is his faith and family.
